Country Landscapes was founded in Ames Iowa in 1981 with the goal and philosophy of providing unsurpassed quality in landscape design and construction services.

Country Landscapes has established itself as a company that can help with any type of design + build project, from residential to large public and commercial projects. • Originally housed in an old barn, the Ames, IA site has expanded to a 5.7-acre complex with a design center, operations building, and full service nursery. The corporate office for all locations is located here. In 2018, 75 acres just to the SW of our current site was purchased for future expansion.

• In 2000, an office was established in North Liberty, IA which serves the eastern Iowa area.   Our North Liberty operations are geared strictly to Design + Build projects with an emphasis on custom design and installation of landscapes. North Liberty is also the home to Country Stonemasons and Country Arborists

• Our Clear Lake location was established in 2006 offering Design + Build services to the Northern Iowa area.  In the spring of 2012, a new Retail Nursery Center opened.

• Our Des Moines location was established in 2018 offering Design + Build services. This site was constructed to be a home for our people that have worked and lived in the Des Moines area for years, as well as support our continued growth.

• All locations offer the services of expert landscape designers and experienced installation crews.

• Total employees at all locations & divisions reaches well over 200 at the peak of the season.
